Sales in November fell by half a percent over the previous year, which is above the 12-month-trailing average of a 1.68% drop. While average sales are still on the decline, they have been looking up since September. Continuing that trend, we will likely see a boost in sales this winter, as restaurants are highly unlikely to repeat the disastrous month of February they had in 2018. Interestingly, fast casual locations saw a boost in sales of 1.58% last month, while full service restaurants took a hit with an average decline of 1.21%.
