Restaurant Sales – MN – May 2020
May trends upward with high hopes for June.
We are seeing a gradual climb north in our year-over-year numbers with some noise in the data around holiday weekends, but overall a promising trend. We also see a recent decrease in percentage of sales coming from delivery which is likely tied to more and more restaurants increasing their onsite services as the market approached Phase 1 reopening at the end of the month. In other markets across our data set we see as much as a 30% increase in year-over-year sales as markets enter Phase 2, so hopefully we will see the same positive impact after June 10th with exciting June numbers to share as a result.
