Fast Casual and Full Service DMV restaurants end April 2024 on a high note
On a seven-day moving average, Full Service ended April up +5% from April 2023, and Fast Casual ended with a whopping +12% growth compared to last year's numbers.
When looking at monthly averages for year over year growth, Fast Casual averaged +7% growth compared to April 2023 sales while Full Service came in basically flat at +0.5%.
Delivery sales for the DMV and nationwide came in at 14% last month. Both groups were down just a touch this month with delivery representing 12% of sales for the DMV and 13% nationwide.
April was an overall very strong month. We will be curious to see how big dining holidays like Cinco de Mayo, Mother's Day, and Memorial Day weekend impact May's numbers. See you next month!
