Marry your ketchup bottles (officially!)

KetchupMarriage-web

First up is a really cool new partnership with ordained individuals in your local area that will come and marry ketchup bottles for you. Illegitimate ketchup marriages have been going on for far too long, and we thought this would be a positive step forward in the fight against them.

Our network of ordained officiants offers something for every kind of ketchup kouple: priests, imams, rabbis, judges - even your cousin Kevin who was able to get ordained in 15 minutes online. Each ketchup marriage officiant also comes with extra napkins to clean up any spills happy tears.

Expanded labor tracking: walk-in, clock out!

This new feature is an update to our existing labor integrations and lets you track how many minutes a week are spent crying (or just doing some deep breathing) in the walk-in. We all need to take breaks, and sometimes the best spot is smack dab in between the leeks and the bulk unsalted butter. Now you can map a button from your POS’ labor module to a “Walk-In Break” category in MarginEdge.

Pro tip: if you feel some cathartic tears coming on, you might want to cry near the salted butter juuuust in case.

Thermometers that get the temp right for once

TempME-web

It’s an age old problem, you decide to play it safe and use a thermometer to keep an eye on the old grill station but discover its 10ºF off. All those steaks are just cash money down the drain. Until now, because MarginEdge will soon start offering Temp[me]: thermometers you can trust.

And you might be thinking, “Why in the hell is my restaurant management system making thermometers?” and that would be a good question. Something - honestly - we’ve asked ourselves time and time again. But the truth is our mission is to help make operators’ lives easier, and there’s nothing that would help you more than a thermometer that you can depend on.

Temp[me] even has a “vent” mode, that lets you vent about guests ordering steaks well done so you can feel seen, heard and listened to (because we really do care!).

Inven-tunes: music to count-by

We know how much everyone loves taking inventory (maybe even more now that you use MarginEdge!), so we’ve created a playlist to keep the good vibes flowing and help you keep count if you lose track! Forget what number comes after 5? It happens. Just start counting along with the songs on the playlist, and you’ll be feeling like a number wizard in no time!

Marti-[me] Alerts

EspressoMartini-web

First, we brought you Price Alerts to let you know when product prices go up. Now we’re bringing you Marti-[me] Alerts, an automatic alerting system that lets your bartender know the second groups of 6 women (or more) walk in the door so they can get a jump on making all those espresso martinis. This alerting system helps your bartender stay on top of drink orders, even during a rush.

Marti-[me] Alerts also has a summer function that gives you the option of switching the default drink order to Aperol spritzes when the weather heats up a little bit.

If you’ve made it this far to the end of our new updates, first off – congrats – and secondly, we’ve got one last little treat for you…

April fools!

Yes, yes, we did decide to play that delicate game of corporate companies taking part in a potentially dicey April Fools prank this year (always a gamble), but at the very least we hope they made your day a little sillier.

And fear not, dear MarginEdge community - the real MarginEdge product updates are coming April 3rd so keep an eye out!
